Provide Financial Support
- Join the LDA Partners In Learning Society
- Contribute to our Annual Appeal. Donate now via PayPal service (a PayPal account is not required)
- Designate LDA Life and Learning Services (#406) when you contribute to the United Way of Greater Rochester's Annual Campaign.
- Include LDA in your will. Please call 585-263-3323 and ask for the Director of Marketing & Development.
- Help to raise community awareness about learning disabilities and LDA's services:
- Invite friends, neighbors, relatives, business associates to attend a Turn to Learn
- Host a Turn to Learn at your home, office, professional organization or faith community
We can use:
- School supplies: pocket folders, lined loose-leaf notebook paper, #2 pencils, pencil grips, index cards, pencil erasers, manila folders, highlighters
- Slant boards
- Space heater
- Folding step-stool
- Software: Kurzweil, Dragon Naturally Speaking, WIN, Inspiration, CoWriter, WriteOutloud, I SPY Mystery and Fantasy CD-ROMs by Scholastic
- Printers
- Reading pen
- CASIO FX-260 SOLAR calculator or talking calculator
- Stereo audio headsets with covered "ears"
- DVD player
- Ergonomically designed workstations and chairs
- Touch screens
We're looking for:
- Professionals/practitioners to conduct workshops on disability-related issues
- Psychologists to complete updated evaluations (using WAIS-R or WAIS-III) for adults seeking GED exam accommodations
- Printing services
Opportunities include:
- Serving on our Board of Directors
- Serving on our Foundation Board
- Serving on our Cultivation & Development Committee
- Serving as a Table Captain at our annual Partners In Learning Luncheon
- Tutoring adults
- Tutoring school-age children
