Description:
To implement the individual's Habilitation Plan and provide the necessary ongoing instruction and support services to maximize the individuals ability to live competently as an integrated member of the community. Instruct, supervise and assist residents in skills based on their ISP, Habilitation Plan, and the Individual Plan of Protection which allow for greater strengths and independence in their lives. These services should be person centered and focused on individualization, integration, independence and productivity.
Compensation: $10.10 - $12.42 per hour depending upon experience.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- At least one year of hands- on experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid New York State driver's license and an insured, registered motor vehicle.
- Must be ambulatory.
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Other Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work closely with people preferred.
- Effective and efficient work skills desired.
- Creativity a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills preferred.
- Strong initiative skills desired.
Hours:
Full time, approximately 40 hours per week. Also available part time and relief hours.
