Strengthening the Black Family-Parent University-Rochester City School DistrictTuesday, April 22 2008 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Begins Tuesday 4/22/08 and will be held every subsequent Tuesday through July 29th. Please note that this series is a 15 week commitment with certificate of participation earned upon completion. Held at 30 Hart Street Room 126 Nationally acclaimed parenting skill-building program teaches parents and guardians how to raise African American children to become healthy, proud and capable people. The program, designed by African American Parenting Scholars, fosters: Effective Family Communication Healthy African American Identity and Positive Self-Estemm Extended Family Values Please register at 324-9960 or 262-8000 ext. 1190 ( limited number of participants-20 max.) Childcare provided with Pre-registration (48 hours notice is required for childcare) Refreshments provided and transportation assistance is available.
