This listing, developed by the Andrew J. Kirch Developmental Services Center at Strong, provides available resources for counseling, consultations, and diagnostic evaluations in the Rochester area. Includes resources for individuals, ages 3-adult, with varying diagnoses including: ADD, learning disabilities, reading difficulties, auditory processing and language deficits, Asperger Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury, Huntington’s Disease, and Tourette Syndrome. It does not represent an endorsement by the Kirch center.

Offers individuals who have a medically diagnosed physical, developmental, and/or emotional disability an opportunity to become independent through education, training and/or employment. Provides vocational rehabilitation services to eligible individuals to prepare them for suitable jobs. Services available depend on demonstrated need and include: transition services; physical/psychological evaluations; guidance, counseling and referral; vocational assessment and counseling; on-the-job training; Job Coach services; supported employment; job placement services; driver evaluation and training; homemaker evaluation and training; rehabilitation technology; workplace accommodations; home modifications; and services to assist during assessment and training such as attendants, note takers and interpreters.

Free workshops to help parents support their children’s education are being offered by the Rochester City School District’s Office of Parent & Community Involvement. Workshops are held at the Parent Center at 30 Hart Street
