$10,000 Grant from RACF Women & Girls Fund

The Rochester Area Community Foundation's Women & Girls Fund has awarded LDA Life and Learning Services $10,000 to provide educational consulting services to girls from low-income families.
Recognizing that girls typically are diagnosed with learning disabilities later than boys, the grant also funds the development of literature outlining the behavioral indicators of learning disabilities in girls. This literature will be distributed to community pediatricians, family medical practices, and schools.
LDA also will conduct workshops for selected providers to further enhance knowledge of learning disabilities and early behavioral indicators in girls.
